Indoor Substrate

Brushed concrete is most commonly used as the indoor substrate however tiles and rubber coated concrete may also be used.

It is recommended that animals have access to both hard and softer substrates in their enclosure; these could be either inside or outside. If sand or other loose substrates are used, avoid feeding on these as this may promote accidental ingestion of the substrate and subsequent digestive problems.
